The Artist in 1960
Betty had beautiful skin. This is an oil on canvas depicting her struggles with her sexless marriage.

This is my favorite painting of Betty's. The pinks are just extraordinary. It's currently in storage but you can view it here.
I have the paint palette Betty is using in this photo in my attic. Just a year before her death a neighbor returned it - Betty's palette had been sitting on the top of her fridge - in Betty's former art studio - for over 40 years.
Here she's back to her brown hair devoting all her energy to career as a fine artist.
Another Betty picture from her first days in NYC back in 1950.
When Betty first came to nyc, she was a platinum blond fashionista. She always talked about not being beautiful yet she was in every way.
This was the last photo taken of Betty. It was commissioned for the NY Times piece that ran after lockdown. Grayson and I drove into Manhattan on a Friday afternoon. The two of them were being total jerks. To get Betty to smile, I was flashing my boobs - mooning her. We were all giggling and having a great time. I didn't know it would be our last time together.
Betty and I took photos to commemorate our partnership in 2010. I miss this Betty. She was fantastic.
This photo was used in a Ms. Magazine piece about their favorite characters in the Feminist movement. I wish they showed Betty a bit more respect. Notice she's wearing her cunt buckle.
