Who am I in a soundbite? I’m a Pisces with a Capricorn moon and a Leo rising. And if that means something to you then there’s your snapshot of me in 15 words or less. And if it doesn’t? Then I’ll tell you that I’m comfortable with other people’s emotions but guarded with my own. I’ll make a fool of myself publicly but singing in front of people gives me palpitations. I’m psychic, but only when I have time for that sort of nonsense. I’m an extravagant, starry-eyed dreamer who knows when to cut her losses. I’m a poet who thinks words are often meaningless. I’m a bubbly philosopher who can’t help but laugh at her own dark moods (eventually). I’ve got a degree in anthropology and another in creative writing and I’m ready to start a third in divinity.
I’m about a year out of a marriage with my kids’ other mother. That marriage was sometimes open, sometimes only open-ish, and many times closed. At the end of that marriage I realized 2 things: I’m polyamorous and future relationships need to be as well, and that I am responsible for seeking out the kind of sex life that I want. So now I’m in flux. Growing, expanding, trying new things. Getting my poly kink on.
I’m submissive in bed, but submissive like smoke. You can shape me only if you breathe me in and breathe me back out again. Or if you use a fan. Or hoses. You know, to put me in a balloon. You can also use me to cure your meat.
See? There’s why I failed as a poet. I can never take my metaphors seriously. And what else do you really need to know?
