Rachel Zoe: From Size 0 to Size 8

Rachel Zoe spoke to Vanity Fair about her frustration with being seen as responsible for the new skinny craze in Hollywood:

"We've had Audrey Hepburn, we've had Twiggy, we've had Veruschka, we've had Kate Moss. I'm trying to figure out why I am to blame for skinniness."

Things are a changing. Bazaar recently photoshopped Zoe's photos to give her more curves.  As a woman with a phat ass and healthy hips, I'm loving this backlash against the Size 0 phenom.  And the reverse photoshop thing (usually they cut your arms in half) is just wonderful.  Sandwiches for everyone!

More Curves on the Runway at Fashion Week

We were like the only other blog besides feministing that didn't cover fashion week until Richard sent me this article announcing that some strides were made this year toward a more realistic body image for models.

Models were up to sizes 2 and 4 - not 0, according to Nian Fish, chair of a fashion designers health initiative. Designers rejected prepubescent 13-year-olds. And at least one super-thin model who had the audience talking a few seasons ago was noticeably absent.

"I think a lot of the direction from the designers has been a much healthier approach," said James Aguiar, co-host of Ultra HD's "Full Frontal Fashion," who noticed more curves and smiles on the runway.
