Better Orgasms. Better World.
I am a 63 year old widow and have not had vaginal penetration for 14 years. I normally orgasm fairly frequently within a few minutes with manual stimulation of my clitoris. Sometimes I insert a finger and press on the anterior wall of my vagina to help relieve that empty feeling. I have never used sex toys. I just realized that in the last year I haven't been masturbating quite as frequently and my orgasms are often not as intense. Lately I have noticed a burning sensation around my vagina and any penetration feels painful. There seems to be a little sign down there saying' keep out!' My self-imposed celibacy suggests why should this bother me but I just retired and since I have almost an empty nest at home I was thinking about actively looking for a new relationship.
HI there!!!
I dont know what's been happening but I've starting touching myself at odd times. I find myself coming to a peek very soon. It seems there is little sensation- from what there used to be- i kinda feel nothing, and dont respond for a good five minutes, then all of a sudden, it becomes "too much".
Betty: You are describing a Tension Orgasm that I described in "Orgasms for Two." Coming to a peak very soon or too soon can be controlled by you. Lighten up on your clit stim. Five minutes of harsh clit stim creates a kind of numbness and yes, "all of a sudden, it becomes too much!" That's when your clit rebelled and signaled "Too Much!"

I thought I'd share this british phenomena with you. Shall I assume that there is a direct link between successfulness and sexual talent? Perhaps this is where I have been going wrong...! lol.
Thank you Betty Dodson and Carlin for this informative, no bull, fun website.
It has taken years for me to overcome my 50's upbringing. My hands were tied to the bedposts so that I would not masturbate. I did not until I was 37 years old and for the first time had a do it yourself orgasm. I was so delighted! Told husband and he was furious that I could do for myself what he was unable to!
I will be 70 this year and I plan this year on having more orgasms than I have ever had in my entire life.
Hello Betty,
I am 57, and in the past 2 years was diagnosed with (not severe) rear pelvic wall collapse, and the beginnings of a prolapsed uterus. This discovery was made when I began to have pain during intercourse and problems with constant urinary pressure. At present I am using a vaginal estrogen cream, which has helped significantly with the pressure on my urethra, but I still have pain during intercourse. But my real concern is with my orgasms.
