The Moral Question of “Gay” will Come to an End

An unfortunate part of being human is that we are all limited by our brain's ability to think, reason and make sense of life. Many of us cling to myths and stories to help us do this. The problem with the brain is that if we don’t like what we see, we can literally deny reality with our beliefs.

Take the case of North Carolina. Last week voters passed a constitutional amendment defining marriage solely as a one woman and one man union. The reason given was that the supposed honoring of “God’s clear definition of marriage.” Now this whole “clear definition” concept is really just a complete denial of reality. If it’s all so clear, why is there controversy at all? It’s clear, right? Beuler?
