First Masturbation Session

I started masturbating when I was 11 years old. I was playing Metal Gear Solid on the Playstation. I remember being very aroused, going to the toilet to pee, beeing rock hard and thinking that I might try to masturbate.

You see, me and my friends where talking about it in recess at school, and my best friend had tried it and said he loved it!

He was encouraging me to try it, but for some reason I was hesitant.  Afraid of what happened if I got caught I guess. But with my parents leaving for the grocery store, I had the house for myself for at least 30 minutes.

When Psychologists Ignore or Dismiss the Body's Role in Orgasm

Below is a response I wrote recently to an article on www.psychologytoday.com by Stanley Siegel, LCSW. Click here for his full article. I semi-support his theory, however, I disagreed with a position he takes that I've seen taken too often by the psychology-based sex therapy community at large. One that supports a mind-as-center-for-orgasm message that cheats the audience of that message of a tremendous portion of their sexual capability and birthright.

Read on for my response, slightly re-written for this blog entry:

Aroused Breasts, The New Videos, Threesome Ideas, and Condom and Sex Technique Fine Tuning

Here's the link to our new streaming videos page that at the moment, has two brand new Dodson and Ross short erotic sex ed videos. One is called Condom Basics, showing how to put on a condom, tips for better condom use, and some smoldering footage of vaginal sex with clitoral stimulation done by the man. (see also my blog post on my Advanced Condom Tips) The other video highlights the basics of anal sex for women, but can be applied to men as well. When I watched this one especially, it showed me in third person how hot sex skills not only feel, but look.

We also have, in a series of six segments, Betty's popular female masturbation erotic sex ed video, Orgasmic Women. All the clips very affordably priced too. It's learning that's hot.

Dear Betty,

Since me and my boyfriend have been dating I've just not been sexually motivated to want to have sex with him. I have endometriosis which causes sex to be really painful at times and its difficult for me to want intercourse. Sometimes I won't even get sexually aroused at all... It's really frustrating. I’ve tried to talk to my doctors about this but they seem not to be interested in talking about it. Is there any natural way to help me with this problem? It says in the book to take ginseng... is there anything else that might help?

Hey Dr. Betty-

Oh I wish it were that simple as not coordinating & giving orgasms. To start with, I work from and stay at home and manage the family. Second orgasms used to be plenty when we were having a lot of/a reasonable amount of sex- the waterfalls never ended, we needed plastic beneath. She was a bang, in the shower and raring to go.

Hi Dr. Betty,

Firstly, I'd like to say that I really admire your work; I've learnt a great deal from your website and the TV show you did in GB recently! Where to start? My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over five years now. I am 22 and he is nearly 25 years old. For the last 18 months or so, our sex life has slowly dwindled and has now reached the stage where we don't have sex for well over a month at a time. I have quite a high sex drive and always have had a higher sex drive than my partner, but he seems to have lost his libido almost completely. We have a wonderful relationship in other respects; both of us talk about our plans for the future and I have no doubt that he loves me and wants us to stay together.

I'm Not Attracted to My Husband Anymore

Hi Betty:

I'm concerned because I've been with my husband for 5 years (married for 1) and I'm no longer sexually attracted to him. However, I am very excited about flirting with other men and possibly making out with them. I know my husband is monogamous and I've told him that I like to flirt and he's ok with that and ok about me getting male attention if it's innocent. But I wonder if having these desires will continue until I act on them (and then escalate if I do).

My Wife Never Wants Sex

Dear Dr Betty,

My wife seems to never want to have sex. We started out 6 years ago strong and now I can't remember the last time she touched me on her own, without my prompting. This has gone on for two years or so. I have tried romantic approaches in all shapes and forms and not that it doesn't occasionally work, it just seems like she has no need for sex and has stated this too. On average we may have intercourse once a week if I am lucky. Dr Betty I have loved sex since as early as I can remember. To me the thrill and pleasure is limitless, especially the intimacy sharing part. On the other hand, my wife always has an excuse either it's the wrong time of day, the kids, etc. I have heard it all.
