Amanda Peet Suffered with Postpartum Depression

Amanda Peet is a wonderful mom to daughter, Frances Penn, 17-months old, but she is only human and suffered from Postpartum Depression (found to be more common than previously thought). In an interview with Gotham magazine Amanda stated that she was hit with “fairly serious postpartum depression” right after her daughter was born.

“And now I want to be honest about it because I think there’s still so much shame when you have mixed feelings about being a mom instead of feeling this sort of ‘bliss.’ I think a lot of people still really struggle with that, but it’s hard to find other people who are willing to talk about it….”
