Betty,

I've been using the magic wand for a few months. I'm 53 and for the first time in a long time enjoying climax. The problem is when ever I reach my climax I urinate. Is this normal? Can I do anything about this. I do this alone. I am married but intercourse has not been good for me for a long time.

Thanks,

S

Dear SB,

Congratulations on restoring you orgasms. When you reach climax you could be urinating or female ejaculating. I know, it's very confusing. Go to Betty's Barbell and read about your PC or pelvic floor muscle and start doing your Kegel exercises. With you finger inside your vagina, squeeze the muscle on it and feel the strength of it. If you feel very little, chances are you are urinating. Pay attention to how you are using the pelvic floor when you orgasm. Instead of bearing down or pushing out, you want to retrain yourself to lift up or squeeze the muscle tight. This will also prevent urinary incontinence later in life.

Also read my essay on Hormone Replacement in case you want to initiate vaginal penetration with partnersex. Browse the website and utilize all the information that's there. You are doing great!

Dr. Betty
