Should My Wife Give Birth Naturally or Have a C-Section?

Dear Dr Betty,

First of all I would like to thank you for a very valuable and helpful website!! I have a couple concerns regarding child birth. My wife is currently pregnant with our first and we need to decide to have natural birth or go the c-section route.

If we choose to have natural birth I'm worried that she will lose some sensitivity down there. I am also concerned that I will not be able to satisfy her as much afterward as I'm an average sized bloke with not much size to spare when it comes to making love...The last worry I have is this: when leafing through the gallery I read of a lady saying her inner labia became much more pronounced after giving birth. Does this always happen? My wife has a very beautiful pussy with small inner labia. Would she also end up with larger inner labia after giving birth?

Kind regards,
G

Dear G,

The method of childbirth is a very personal decision that only you and your wife can make. My personal preference would be natural birth with a birthing tub with experienced midwifery. Here is a link for Water Birth for more details.

If you choose the natural route, you need not worry about your wife losing sensitivity or a major change in her genital's appearance. Even if there is a change in the size of her inner lips, it will just add to her pleasure. I've seen a multitude of women's genitals who have given birth naturally and their form has remained the same. Whatever method you chose, I suggest you begin to prepare now by encouraging your wife to do Kegel exercises consistently before and after giving birth. Check out Betty's Vaginal Barbell for more info. As for your penis size, if you've spent time on the website, you know by now that the clitoris is a woman's primary sex organ for pleasure. So please don't view your penis size as essential for her main source of orgasms. A combination of vaginal penetration with clitoral stimulation often works best for most women. Enjoy your new happy and healthy baby.

Whatever you decide to do don't let anyone force your wife into giving birth lying on her back. In this position she will have to push the baby out. This position is only convenient for doctors. Women should work with gravity not against it.

Thanks!

Labia Size

Anyone who has given birth and had larger labia afterward, raise your hand.

Anyone who has given birth and had smaller labia afterward, raise your hand.
*HAND RAISE!*

You cannot predict what size the labia will be after childbirth. Let me repeat that: YOU CANNOT PREDICT WHAT SIZE THE LABIA WILL BE AFTER CHILDBIRTH. Some get bigger, others get smaller, some could even have one get larger and the other smaller, who knows?

Please do not place value in the size of her labia. This will not only set you up for potential disappointment, it will shut her down sexually if she feels she isn't perfect. Translation: if you vocalize anything other than appreciation for her body, especially the parts she cannot change, your sex life will go down the toilet.

As far as penis size goes, I'll take a man with a small penis who knows how to listen to my needs any day, over a man with a larger penis who treats me like a pincushion.
