Need Tips on Oral Sex With a Condom

Dear Dodson and Ross,

I'm a bit confused about the timing of putting on the condom for oral sex. For intercourse I'm clear that when the penis is erect you get that condom right on. However, for oral sex I'm a bit more confused. What do you do with it when it is flaccid? Use a dental dam? Avoid mouth to penis contact? Help!

That's a good question. Since I was fluid bonded with my last male partner and Carlin has the same arrangement with her BF, I'm sending this to Eric because he's out there in the sex world. I know for sure he is very specific about protecting his health while relating to multiple partners. Personally, I have never thought oral sex with either a man or woman was ever that dangerous for contacting a disease. But then I'm a product of the seventies.

Eric said it's possible to transmit all of the STI's via unprotected oral sex from genitals to mouth and vice versa with the possible exception of HIV, as no HIV infections have been conclusively tied to oral sex, however the possibility remains. Hep C is blood to blood, so no issue there with oral sex with men. What is the danger for of a female performing oral sex on a male without a condom? What can be transmitted?
