Is Fisting Safe?

I am submissive and have recently connected with a dominant female. Both she and I are into anal sex play (mine that is). My major question, is , will this cause me irreparable physical damage?

If you are in touch with your body, don't use drugs or alcohol and your Dom is experienced and patient, fisting can be done without causing lasting damage as far as I know. Your body will be the ultimate judge of this. When I last observed and participated in fisting with a few gay male friends in the eighties, I felt some were definitely doing harm to themselves while others seem to know exactly what they were doing. Although they were "bottoms" they completley controlled the process of penetration verbally. For me, I'd prefer to keep fisting a fantasy. You can gradually use larger anal dildos while your Dom describes it as her fist. The idea of demanding the opening up of a tight little butty hole gets me hot too.
