My husband just accused me of being unfaithful. He said that 2 weeks ago the day after my period he felt me and my Labia were loose and fluttery like i had just finished sex. We have been married 19 years, i have never cheated but i cannot convince him of this. What changes do labia go through on a monthly cycle. He says he has never felt them like that except after sex. I am torn up I can't eat or sleep, cant believe he is accusing me of this.

Dear W,

A woman's labia becomes fuller when she is sexually aroused but I have no idea what he means by "fluttery." Women have nearly as much erectile tissue as men, but most of ours is internal, except for the clitoral glans and pussy lips. They become engorged with blood when we are in a state of sexual arousal. Tell him you were just turned on. If he can't trust you after 19 years of living together with you remaining faithful, he has a jealousy problem. Unfortunatly most men rarely seek any kind of counseling, but you might consider getting some professional help so you can get over his stupid accusation. Don't loose any more sleep over this, please! Maybe he just cheated and his ploy was to accuse you.

Dr. Betty
