Gushing about Gina Canaro

OMG! I was watching CBS/Showtime's new mixed martial arts fighting the other night and the most amazing woman fought and won - her name is Gina Canaro and she's my new girlfriend.

First, she's got the body type I love: muscular and feminine at the same time.

Second, during her interview she expressed her incredulousness at people's statements that she was "too pretty to fight" (her face is beautiful).

Third, she can fucking kick hard.

Finally, she kissed her opponents head after the fight and extolled her virtues as a fighter. Yes, she's a woman's woman.

It was so refreshing to see a woman who didn't care if her arms were larger than average - that gave her the ability to throw a punch. And it was refreshing to see a woman who loved her craft and had genuine passion for something other than shoes.

She has to be unbelievable in bed. I think I'm going to sign up for a boxing class at Gleason's.

Oh man. This woman has been a force. I totally agree with you C, she IS a woman's woman.
I first saw her on Oxygens tv documentary about women's kickboxing, Gina and another woman trained with "Master Toti (sp?)" and flew to Thailand to fight real, in the flesh Thai-fighters. Needless to say, Gina whooped some major Thai ass. Later on Oxygen started a "reality" show with different fighters all hoping to go to Thailand to fight (Think Spike's Ultimate Fighter show). Gina was one of the coaches.
Then this badass chick is on American Gladiators and just owned.
I am SO sad to report that I missed the CBS fight! I saw the end fight with Kimbo "I suck at real fights" Slice and the other guy. I was pretty sad about just how child-like the CBS MMA fight was compared to actual UFC fights.
But regardless, Gina Carano is one of my new-found heroes. Thanks for bringing this up C!
