This is a new study out to prove that sex shouldn't last for hours (right!).
Here's my take on the how long should intercourse last issue. Studies prove that both men and women get sexually aroused in 10 mintues....then it takes men 10 minutes to come and women 20 minutes to come.
So the big disconnect with men and women is 10 fucking minutes. That's why foreplay is so important or just grabbing your vibe after your partner comes and letting them watch.
And if the best sex should last 7-13 mintues then us ladies still need another 5-7 mintues to get off!
THE best sex should last from seven to 13 minutes, and three minutes is adequate, a survey of American experts concludes.
But one Australian expert believes most men here want it to last considerably longer, while most women are "not bothered" if it is over with fast.
The US study is the first to review what experts believe is the ideal length of time to have penetrative sex, with the random sample of Americans and Canadians labelling seven to 13 minutes most "desirable".
Intercourse lasting between three and seven minutes was deemed "adequate", but anything less was considered "too short" and beyond 13 minutes was "too long".
The study, published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, aims to calm unrealistic beliefs that healthy sex should last a long time.
I think if you're looking at the clock to begin with, there's issues.
Then again, I'm so sore today from a night with my lover that I can hardly walk or sit. I have no idea how long sex took when we started at 11:30ish, or when we woke up around 3:30ish, or when we woke up at 6:30ish ... but it was AWESOME.
I've never been a fan of marathon sex. It's exhausting and leaves you sore, as Kayten has stated. Plus, I really have a short attention span, I can't even sit through a movie, no matter how good it is. But 13 minutes?? I take longer showers then 13 minutes.
From start to finish, 1/2 hour is perfect for me, unless I'm being greedy and receiving a full body massage before hand, then 1 hour, max.
