I knew that we all start from the same tissue, for example male
erectile tissue and the clitoris develop from the same tissue.

But after watching a BBC documentary, I first realized how big the role
played by hormones is . It showed a woman with XY genes, that's because she has AIS(Androgen insensitivity syndrome), and her body doesn't
react to testosterone.

Because the default position for an embryo is female and just one
gene(SRY) acts as an switch, if it's not working we stay female. She discovered this condition only after she was the last one not to get her period, that's because she doesn't have an uterus and has testicles inside
her body.

She looks like a woman, has all the right external sex organs, and
wants to have children. The documentary also featured a woman undergoing male hormone
treatment , they scanned her brain before and after the treatment, surprisingly the brain changed from female to male
characteristics, like loosing the ability to read emotions.

One person on that documentary said the bible had it wrong, it wasn't Eva who was made
out of Adam's rip, it was the other way round. Pretty funny.
