What causes Pearly Penile Papules?

I thought I was infected with something but after asking and getting tested they are completely harmless. I just have VERY small small small little pimple like things but it's nothing. You can't even see them without paying a lot of attention. I am so glad I am not infected, I have heard it is very common but what causes it?

It's found more often in uncircumcised men, which I am.

Yes I had same problem i recently discovered that they are very common and no one knows why and how they form but there is a way of removing them.
Consult a dermitoligist and i forgot the name but its some sort of laser which vapourises them, I heard its not physically painful at first because they numb you beforehand but it's sore after.
I dont know, they are completely harmless but yea, I Guess its a self esteem issue.....

I've got something similar. I've had it since I was a teenager, long before I was sexually active. No idea what it is and I've been too embarrassed to have a dermatologist look at it because the only way to really see it is when I'm hard so I've never brought it up to the doc. Anyway it is perfectly harmless and thegirlfriend kinda likes it so I've never been concerned about it. It would be nice to know what the hell it is and what causes them though.

Oh I freaked out thinking I was infected. I know I make it sound like I got bit by a zombie :rolleyes:

no one knows what cause them, although the best information thought to be correct are swollen or blocked sweat glans or pores, with most men experiencing them in their 20's.
my man has a skin tag....I freaked the first time we were together, thought it was a wart! But...I've come to love it, as I do him.
