Hello D&R Community,

I have recently compiled a list and made a video of a hand picked selection of International Sexuality Shops. While there are plenty of sex shops in the world, not all are created equal. My desire is to compile an international list of sexuality stores that focus on women, couples and the thoughtful gents of the world. The shops I am interested in are kinky, sexy and fun without being crude or cruel. I am interested in stores for bisexuals, heterosexuals, homosexuals, intersexuals, solo-sexuals, transgender, transexuals, and anyone who is interested in quality products and information. The current selection includes female owned stores, eco-conscious stores, multilingual and multicultural stores, advocates of consensual and safe bondage stores, stores that cater to the specific needs of people with disabilities and stores that cater to people with sensitivities and/or allergies to certain substances. Most of the stores ship products internationally.

Unfortunately, I am still lacking in some regions. I appreciate any and all serious and thoughtful suggestions, whether they make it on the list or not. But I specifically would like store recommendations from Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Central and South America, Oceania, Eastern Europe, Western and Northern Canada, Mexico, and the Central and Southern United States.

Feel free to contact me (via the ArtCoition.com site) or leave comments with suggestions for sexuality stores. The stores will have to have shops online so that I can view their selection of products.

Click here for the list of stores (text)

The links are organized alphabetically by continent and then by country and then by the store name.

Thank you for your help,

Palesa

Lowdown on Poland

Our situation is quite complex. If I had to pick one store that is women friendly, sells body-safe products and has a well educated staff I'd say there isn't one. There are a lot of medium to low quality shops. If the customer is educated they'll probably get what they want.

We don't have a store that points out phthalate-free toys. There are a couple of short, badly written articles about those plasticizers on some websites. You don't read western websites - you end up buying a toy that smells dreadful and stings even worse.

On the other hand, since we are close to Germany we get lots of FunFactory. Lelo is easy to find too as are other European brands.

We don't have any Vibratex! That makes finding a TPR/TPE rabbit really difficult. FF has some silicone ones but not everybody has $100 for a toy.

There are no wand-type vibrators that I would take a second look at. Hitachi is available only through auctions.

The biggest brand here is Toy Joy/Scala/Playhouse. They are based in Netherlands and sell a variety of products. From glass dildos (that make you feel so good you end up sore for a week) to cheap jelly crap. Some of their ideas are brilliant - would be even amazing - if they just used TPR more often.

Hi WildOrchid,
I found three Polish sites that I added to the International Sex Shop Guide (link is above). I give all the stores a description to orient people to what they should expect before they decide to click the link. Feel free to send me a critique if you like.

Thank you WildOrchid. Great

Thank you WildOrchid. Great information. Sorry about the situation in Poland. Luckily you are close to countries with some great shops. If you ever get a chance to go to Amsterdam I highly recommend Mail & Female. I viewed a lot of stores to compile this list and this store really impressed me. Also once you cross the Baltic sea you enter into some of the most sex positive countries in the world. So maybe your next holiday should be an international sex shop adventure!
