Low testosterone
Quick summary: I have the most gorgeous, attentive guy in the world. I love making out with him. BUT I don't orgasm. I have erect nipples but feel nothing in my nipples (I used to so I've lost something - and to confirm never had any breast surgery of any form). I get very lubricated, and have femjac, I adore everything, initiate sex, get very horny if we chat online when he's away, but simply do not orgasm (even alone). Believe me, we tried everything positions and toys. I'm around 50 and he's in his 20s. He makes me feel incredibly good about myself and I am not embarrassed at all by my body when i'm with him, and we have a huge mental synthesis as well as physical.
In 2006 I had a polyp removed from my womb, and also went through a huge amount of stress at work. My sex life was non-existent for about 10 years and so I'm not sure when the ability to orgasm disappeared but I am fairly sure the op had something to do with it.
Anyway, I began to suspect my problem may be low testosterone. So I went to a lab 2 days ago and sure enough my values of free testosterone came back very low (about 10% of such typical values as I have been able to find relating to women on the net). I sent my results through to a relative who is an MD and has some knowledge of hormones, and he confirmed they appear low. He also informed me that it is most unlikely that I would be able to get any assistance in my home country to solve this as it's not considered important!
I even did some online questionnaire yesterday that essentially boiled down to the fact that I have a great sex life, I have no problem with lubrication, I get erect nipples and engorged clit, I have close emotional relationship with my guy, so I don't need to do anything and have no problem despite the fact that I don't orgasm (and which actually is beginning to affect my relationship because even though he's putting a brave face on it, I know he thinks its something to do with him and it isn't, and I miss it anyway - even if I am playing alone!)
Cut a long story short, I have ordered some testosterone cream for women off the internet from Australia (which does contain actual testosterone) to give it a try (and have read all the stuff about cycling and because I live in Africa, I can afford to go to the lab and have my levels tested regularly). I do appreciate that one test result doth not a problem make, and I will of course have levels retested regularly.
I'm also going to do what I can to improve testosterone levels naturally from what I've seen online: diet, exercise, adding near-daily sex play when my guy is away.
I am also going to adjust my diet and make 'playtime' (porn by women directors, sexy stories, various other things) a regular part of my life - my guy is away for a while and I'm making a trip abroad - and build up the exercise again (have been ill for a couple of months - not the root of my problem with not getting an O as have been with my guy for well over a year now).
Does anyone else have any experience with low testosterone and overcoming it?
