Pissed at Porn - a First Timer's Revelation

I'm 34 and about a month ago I had my first experience with penetration with a guy who was an ex-boyfriend from 3 years ago.  not really sure what to call him now, but that's another story.
At this moment, I have to say that I am kinda pissed at porn because it totally skewed what sex woiud be like.  I've gone so far as to subscribe to Playgirl, only to find that they're probably faking it.  I've read that on about 25% of women orgasm in sex....I konw that I'm a newbie, so I just need to practice...but really, porn?  really???  I had no idea it was that bad. 
The guy  i slept with (three times now) also has limited experience.  he's 38 and was a virgin when we dated before.  I'm not sure if he held onto that when we had sex the first time, but it's clear that he's still figuring out what to do and expect. He sees that I'm nor orgasming during sex and is wondering what to do.  the first time, i got nothing.  the second time, i got a hand job the next day.  the 3rd time, i got a hand job before sex. rr there has been oral, but I think he thinks sex has replaced that for me (not so!  he still asks for it before sex!).
anyway, I'm not that impressed with penises right now (we'll save my bi-curiosity for another conversation) and I'm sooo about to cancel my playgirl subscription.

Hi Lexi perhaps you could try Filament magazine instead. and a really cheap months subcription to Liandra Dahls reality porn website would be good too. She Blogs here for Betty and Carlin  and has her own exellent forum where she can usually give you some good open helpful advice.

If you and your partner are inexperienced that shouldn't be too problematic if you have a repore and/or friendship so you can enjoy learning together. I'm not exactly an expert but logically if it takes a woman 15 to 40 mins to orgasm and it takes me 2 to 10 mins, then the session has to be based on the womans masterbation technique and timing  into which the mans 2 to 10mins is accomadated.   The same would be true of same sex where you have someone who can and likes to beat the egg timer :) They would meld there experience into their partners longer routine. Liandras site and forum is definitly worth checking. Hope that all helps.
