Just a few personal thought here, so please don’t shoot me
down in flames.  I see nothing
wrong in adult non-violent porn per se but I think it does often send out the
wrong signals:

 

It often suggests that most of us climax through constant
thrusting alone;

It can lead to suggest that we are expected to make very strange
noises during sex;

Condoms are rarely seen so the safe sex message is not there;

Lube is hardly ever seen to be used, even for anal suggesting
that it will just slide in;

Foreplay – what’s that?

Most of us do not want to be covered in goo to conclude
playtime.

Well.. i been watching porn since a very young age, still do but not as much as i like to (work, personal life). U have some very good point there especially about safe sex. In my own experience i've meet woman that dont use any kind of lube during anal sex and that is how they like it.

I watch porn but find the porn stars to synthetic and fake. The female porn star has to drink a litre of water in order to have an ejaculation which is really urine. Think the OP needs a better quality of porn :) I'm actually annoyed by the prevalence of condoms in porn. I want the fantasy, not the reality :) I never fantasize about boinking some cutie but first I gotta put on a condom. Porn augments our imagination when we masturbate (do people watch without masturbating?) As a tool therefore, few wanna see condoms , lube, and whatever else. Is a difference between a porno and a sex-ed film :)

Fantasy is all well and good but in the real world people
are dieing.  The porn industry has
responsibilities to everybody.  I am
no prude (I’m in the gallery after all), but, rightly or wrongly, many people
see porn as education; the condom message needs to be sent out to all in an
active sex life. 

 Likewise the porn industry seems to suggest that anal to
vaginal and anal to oral is OK, this is so wrong.  There are womens’ health issues here too big to ignore.

 The industry has a responsibility to the health of the
world.  Instead, it is full of poor
actors/actresses sending out the wrong signals as to what is acceptable and what women want.  Maybe, one day we will have something
to show others how to make love to a woman properly.

I think that anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that porn is NOT a depiction of real life.  They are using lube in porno for most if not all takes, why do they have to show the bottle of KY or whatever?  I feel like its obvious.  As for condoms... I saw that it's already been said but most people don't care to see condoms in porn, I know that when I watch porn myself, or with my (soon to be) husband, that isnt something that either of us care about.

Sorry darling but they produce what sells. A the lowest possible cost of production at that. The only thing we can do is stop paying for bad quality porn. There are amateurs who are a lot more devoted to their performances than many pros. Support them! In our modern world money shapes almost everything.

I agree that bad porn hurts young, unexperienced people. You have to see a lot of "realistic" cunts and tits before visiting commercial porn sites in order not to get hung ups. Most of the young girls don't question the "one and only" pussy model. They decide to start saving for labiaplasty. And get breast implants for 18th birthday.

I have been watching porn during masturbation for about 5 years and I have to say lately the professional porn films can't get me the least bit excited. The fake quality it has to it can actually even be a turn-off for me. Seeing women with breasts that have the shape, texture and consistency of melons get pounded (i believe this to be the most appropriate word for the penetration seen in professional porn) without the sligthest hint of emotion and enjoyment has really lost its appeal to me. Amateur porn and any videos that show a woman having a real orgasm (very rare at least in my experience) are a whole different story since there you can actually see two people having sex for the pure pleasure of it and that is what really gets me off.

      From a personal point of view, yes I think porn is acceptable, I just think it could be so much more.  Like most films those participating are acting but I think many of the "methods" show, send certain people the wrong signals as to what a woman wants/needs.  I also think condom use in porn should be the norm.

I to have wondered why some parts of the industry have stopped using protection,ie condoms>Most of trannies still use them but have seen some barebacking which I was surprised to see.Perhaps they have an antiseptic cream or spray they use.Perhaps all performers have to be tested,if so how often would this happen.If they arnt taking precautions then they are all play Russian Roulette.
