I fucking love Martha Stewart. she has such huge balls. you know that that's why they sent her to jail...playing the old boys game and winning. check out this clip where she ranks on the Donald with Joan Rivers:

Pretty good comment lower on the page though:

What... this is news? Martha makes a joke? Oh, wait that IS news. By the way, Martha Stewart is so dull a housewife, she can make Donald's hairpiece look both interesting AND useful. Thanks for re-indoctrinating our just-freed females, Martha. You can be proud of yourself, you got them back behind the stove, preparing our dinner and putting up useless decorations for every unworthy occasion. Martha Stewart is worse for the environment than SUV's are and she makes people waste more of their time, means and energy than plastic surgeons did on Joan for crying out loud. And THAT's my two cents....

And no, they sent her to jail for obstructing justice, making false statements, and "conspiracy" during the investigation into the insider trading thing. The jury convicted her (so it's not like there was some "old boys club" at work there), and the judge went as easy on her as he could. Minimum sentence, and a stay on the sentence until the decision was heard on the appeal.

"...They sent her to jail for obstructing justice, making false statements, and "conspiracy" during the investigation into the insider trading thing" - like I said playing with Old Boys Game.

I'm sorry but I knew all of those cats at Enron and there were plenty of higher profile cases that did more to fuck the average american. What she did was illegal but if it was anyone else the attorney general wouldn't have bothered prosecuting ( I know because I used to be one). How many people sell stock on insider information on any given day - thousands...probably hundred of thousands. We're talking about a $150k transaction NOT sinking thousands of employees 401ks.

Just didn't seem proportional to me as someone who used to be in that game.
