4 year old boy brutally beaten to death for touching himself.

When I read this article chills went down my spine. This poor child did not deserve this brutal beating for touching himself. I hope they put the abusers away for a very long time!!!! I have never corrected my son for touching himself. I only tell him to do it in private. With his autism I have to set boundaries, there is a time and place for everything. I see no problem for a child to explore his or her body. Its natural. NO child should be shamed or beaten for doing so. My heart breaks for this little boy.

I know it is pointless to try to find blame, but why is his mother so sick to begin with? Maybe she has the same kinds of issues with masturbation; maybe her own parents beat her for doing the same thing. This is a sickness that passes down the generations.

It's morbid to think about, but what if the child had survived, and forced his sexual repression on his own kids? What can we do to heal people like this, to prevent acts like this from happening?
