Gay Is Not Broken. Gay Just Is

Gay sex is not “equal” to hetero sex - that according to Republican Presidential hopeful, Rick, “The Sanitorium” Santorum. But how exactly do you know, Mr. Rick?

Can’t knock it till you’ve tried it. Or is it that you have tried it? Hmmm.

Anyway, when a college grad pressed him on his anti-same sex marriage stance, an agitated Rick blathered on about “the perils” of gay marriage.

As far as I can tell, the major perils of being gay come from ignorant people like Rick - who insist that they are de-facto spokespersons for god, and should dictate what’s best for people’s sex lives.

Of course there are also the perils of sexually insecure males who feel obligated to keep the world hetero through violence and intimidation (the two in this video had an early Christmas surprise).

But back to Mr. Rick. Let me 5th-grade-school you for a minute. Gayness is part of life, including insects, mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, etc. If your god hates gays so much, why are there so many gay life forms in this big, beautiful world?

For millions of years, “gay” has been getting along just fine without our moral obsession with cleansing gays from existence. It’s nearly 2012. It’s time to deal with the reality that these outworn, moralistic ideas about gay sexuality are completely fictitious.

Gay is not “broken”, Mr. Rick, gay just is.

Interestingt thing: I went to

Interestingt thing: I went to Allposters website yesterday to try to find some nice male nude art. Everything was tagged "homoerotic"! Note that most of the work there was single nudes, not two men interacting. It seems to me that "homoerotic" should refer to same sex interaction between two or more people. If it's just the one it just "erotic" or "sexual", nonspecific.

So why is a male nude concidered gay while a female nude isn't?? To me it suggests that a male, unless he is in a sexual situation with a female, is concidered as being gay. This idea resonates to me, since I also have the impression that (at lease straight) men have a problem with seeing themselves as independently sexual/sensous and beautiful creatures. It suggests that a man who is vounerable (which is in the nature of the nude) has to be gay. In other words, straight men - which in many people's eyes is the same as REAL men - can't be beautiful, sensuous or be coveted as such.

It is sad.

If your gay or bi you have something extra

My theory is that we're concieved and develop a pan sexual libido and as we develop further into one sex or the other as a fetus, certain parts of that pansexual libido shut down, so that if we're born heterosexual we only have the keys to opposite sex attractiion with the locked parts more locked in some people than others. As we develop we can unlock that pansexuality and I've been exploring my own homo erotic feelings and they seem very gender polarized. If I ID as a woman with a womans body I can have really nice  androsexual fantasies as a woman, but not really as a man. As a man my androsexuality is very minimal. My feeling is that to be same sex attracted you have something extra  or have naturally developed something extra to enable that.

Too right!! that is because we're encouraged to be the desirers and neglect any sexual enjoyment from being desired, instead we're coached to see desire as a green light and permission to  do what we desire to someone else. and women are coached to accept that sexual model too. Hence the cultural emphasis on male pleasure.

Yes very sad. But that motivates me to try and change things.
