Eric,
I just wanted to ask you a question about lube and condoms. If i am giving a guy oral sex and i use flavored lube (water based) but then we decide too have partner sex while we are at it and we have him put a condom on...is that okay? An sex tips? like would the lube already on his penis affect putting the condom on or anything? or would it not affect anything and be fine?
i didnt know if lube on a penis would make it too sticky or slippy to get the condom on or anything like that...so just wondering!!

Dear M,

The only sex advice thing I could give that would make a difference is if you have a wet/lubed penis and put a condom on, it will often make the condom pull off sooner after it stretches during intercourse. Keep a dry hand towel or washcloth or kleenex nearby to dry his penis, then put on the condom. Also, does the flavored condom have sugar of some kind in it? that may create a yeast infection, so be aware of that if used inside your vagina.

For those new to my blog: I write on my and others' sex life, in erotica form, because many of us need only read of an example of what really is possible. It so often lights a desire to "Want to do that. Feel that." A want to learn how to have better sex through sex advice and sex education, maybe for the first time in their lives. I also intend to present to my readers the reality of great sex at any level of sophistication. I partner-teach with a sex therapist and their clients sometimes, but I don't do sex therapy. I'm a sex life consultant. I teach and I do.

Depending on the lube, it may increase his feeling in the condom. This would be similar to the tip (pardon the pun) of putting a few drops of lube in the condom before putting it on. It definitely changes the feel of the experience.
