When Men Buy Condoms, Ego Prevails & Slippage Abounds

45 percent of men have reported experiencing an ill-fitting condom within the last three months. Why? Because no one knows how to market small condoms and most men don't need magnums but buy them anyway.

So the battle in the condom aisle is over how to mask a size "small" condom with another less intimidating description like "superfit".  And each company has their own team trying to semanticize "small" to hoards of men yearning for "extra large".  Can you imagine trying to buy a pair of jeans with no sizing just labels like "sexyplus" and "just enough"?

This whole size envy BS ends up biting women in the ass because when condoms don't fit they break and slip off.  Men with ill-fitting condoms were more likely to take them off before sex was even over.  I know I've been there.  My thought was, "it's your dick why don't you know how to buy a condom that fits?".

Women want to be size 0s and men want to have huge dicks.  The body image pressure we face is almost insurmountable.  I blame porn for being our only source of sex ed, the fashion industry for creating the wire hanger aesthetic, socialites for buying into it all, educational institutions for not having the balls to make sex ed compulsory, and parents for refusing to walk around naked in front of their children and answer sex questions honestly.

The first penis I ever saw was my fathers...the first breasts and vulva my mothers...and the second penis my brothers.  I knew that genitals came in an array of sizes, shapes and colors.  I didn't think that every penis was 13 inches long and pale pink because I wasn't raised with the internet and had 0 access to porn.  My parents believed that nudity was beautiful and that the body was nothing to be ashamed of...it was to be celebrated.

The first time I saw two people having sex was when I snuck into my parent's room in the middle of the night.  I'd thrown up.  When I opened the door to their room, I saw them naked in the missionary position.  My mother got out of bed naked and took me into the bathroom to wash my face and tuck me back into bed.  It was just my mother naked. Not a big deal.

If only we realized that by shrouding sex in mystery, we were relegating our children to a life filled with body image anxiety and condom slippage.  What if our sons knew that most penises were small and our girls knew that most women were over a size 8?  What a happy world that would be.

Condom slippage and size issues

One of the things I've talked about before with regards to condom slippage is how if you have intercourse with many condoms, even one that fits, for longer than ten minutes, definitely longer than twenty, the condom eventually stretches out and becomes more loose-fitting than it started. Condoms slip up the shaft and catch just below the glans-penis (the head) due to the flared coronal ridge. They make condoms according to specific expectations with regards to intercourse duration. The average longest time before ejaculation is 15 to 20 minutes at max, but the highest portion of the bell curve in this case is 10 minutes, or so I've researched.

What if a condom company marketed a condom that was tested to last 20 to 30 minutes before it stretches out too much to not be pulled off by the combination of friction from intercourse and vaginal muscle squeezes? They could call it the Extended Edition and put it in whatever sizes they make. My world would be happy with that condom in it.

Further, this harkens to the availability of penis exercising to increase size and hardness. I work with male clients with these methods and am right now waiting to see how they work for them. What I'm about to say will offend some people and not apply to everyone, based on differing health issues. That said, by and large, whether you are a woman and want to be a smaller size (that's healthy in proportion to your natural body structure and scale) or a man who wants a bigger penis (or more muscular frame), both desires hinge on time spent in the gym and a commitment to healthy eating and proper supplements. Like losing weight or building muscles, penis exercising takes dedication and repetition.

It is well-known in circles of people who work out that there is sometimes a bias against health-conscious and exercise-conscious people. A support of each other to not let traditional health habits and beliefs pressure you or get in your way.

I'm looking forward to a world where that's no longer an issue. I'm looking forward to a world where if a small penis is an issue, then men are supported to take matters into their own hands and within a year or so, attain the penis they want based off of reasonable expectations of what's pleasurable for most women.

Don't tell me men can't be expected to do that. Men work more on their golf swing, their hoop shot, knuckle pushups, and their stock portfolio by FAR. It would eliminate this issue overnight. Wouldn't it be an amazing world if an average large penis size were created and men, as a matter of course in their "becoming men" did the exercises to make it happen so that by the time sex lives began, it was taken care of. If more is desired, then for most men it could be reached.
