Thor is Now a Woman

Marvel has shocked fans by announcing that in it's October release Thor is now a woman...not she-Thor or Lady Thor...but "the" Thor.

Their goal is to attract a larger female audience and I think it's a harbinger of things to come.  Women are the largest untapped marketing segment out there - we're 51% of the population and virtually ignored.  The companies that understand our value are going to rise to the top.

Thor is a woman now? Oh Come on! This is ridiculous. There are tonnes of female superheroes, TONNES!  Why couldn't they just use one of those as a frickin role model? This is so silly. Women are not an untapped market... Women are THE market! Go to any mall. About 80% of every mall is geared towards womens buying habits. Frankly I don't care but THor? Really?
Well at least shes freaking sexy as all hell.
By Odin, she's a hottie.

Thor & Loki - a match made in heaven

Anyone worthy who picks up the hammer becomes Thor the Superhero - now we just need to sit back and wait for Thor & Loki to get down & dirty.

Though thinking that through, I might prefer Chris Helmsworth & Tom Hiddlestone to follow through on the bromance story line.

Well, kind of. Looking into

Well, kind of. Looking into it, it seems whoever holds Thor's hammer becomes Thor. So when Thor 'retires' and some other Asgardian picked up the hammer she had all the powers of Thor bestown her. Similar with Marvel's other choices as with Captain America stepping aside in the storyline and his friend Falcon assuming the role. Or at the end of "The Dark Knight: Batman Rises" 'Robin' steps in as Batman replacing Bruce Wayne.
