America's Outrageous War Economy

Thu, 08/21/2008 - 15:40

I for one am furious about Amercia's War Economy. So is Carlin, just ask her. This article I caught online really hits home. Here's an excerpt:

"Admit it: we secretly love our war economy. And that's the answer to Jim Grant's thought-provoking question  last month in the Wall Street Journal -- "Why No Outrage?"  There really is only one answer: Deep inside we love   war. We want war. Need it. Relish it. Thrive on war. War is in our genes, deep in our DNA."

Our rebellion takes the form of putting out solid sex information so folks can get in touch with their bodies by contacting their sex organs. Once Americans are enjoying a small amount of sexual pleasure in any form, they will begin to wake up. So join us in our effort to save America and Mother Earth. Have an orgasm for world peace today.

I Already Miss My Old Website

We wanted to make the old site accessible just for old times here's the link to the old look and feel of the website created by my dear friend, Grant Taylor.

I think he would approve of this new effort but it takes a little time for us seniors to get used to the latest technology. So whatever you're feeling I'm feeling the same way too.

We'll be archiving the old site asap. Stay tuned.

This is one of the few robust programs in human sexuality in America. Thanks to my dear friend Eli Coleman, it is also the first to boast an endowed academic Chair in Sexual Health. Makes a person feel good to know the Unniversity of Minnesota exists. Remember my essay about "My Childhood Home?" Minneapolis is the fastest growing city next to Las Vegas.

They've just rolled out their newsletter and it's a wonderful resource for those thinking of a career in sexology or those wanting to keep in the know.

Dems Finally Pony Up & Support a Woman's Right to Choose

Carlin and I span 3 decades and we both had abortions without any regrets. Mine was a kitchen table abortion and she went to a legal clinic. Today we are going to do a podcast about this. Finally the Dems are dumping their tentative language in support of a woman's right to choose. The moral issue here is valuing a woman's life more than her pregnancy.

The Democratic Party platform of 2008 finally dropped its old abortion language ("safe, legal and rare"), which had asked that women not have abortions unless they absolutely must. The 2008 platform, just announced, says instead, "The
Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade.

Feminism Means Supporting Sex Workers

Carlin and I are two feminists who support sex workers rights.  Not only do we want to see prostitution decriminalized, but we also want to change the notion that feminists are sex negative prudes.  Until women get equal pay for equal work, we're all sex workers whether we rent our bodies by the hour or sell them permanently in marriage!

Truthout has an amazing piece on the public debate over sex work in the wake of headline-grabbing murders of five women in Ipswich in 2006 that led to a heightened public debate about prostitution - the industry all five women were working in at the time of their death. The views of academics, the police and third sector groups were all sought in an attempt to find out how to ensure the safety of women selling sex.

When Is America Going To Grow Up & Accept Human Sexuality?

What is it going to take before people wake up and question the instititution of monogamy...which is practised largely by women NOT men?

There is a basic drive embedded in the DNA of human males...a biological need to impregnate as many females as possible. Women have to be more cautious because we raise the young. No religion can control that urge except through extreme repression that desexualizes both men & women.

Personally, I don't trust a man who isn't sexual with more than one woman. It means his dick doesn't work because he's been repressed.

Homeland "In" security Has Us By The Short & Curlies

Every time I go thru the metal detector and set off the alarms with my titanium hip joints, I'm put in a plexi glass cage to wait for a "Female Assist" to come pat me down. I often joke with the security guards.

In San Diego, there was a sign that said something about "Securitiy is no laughing matter." While standing inside my plexi glass I see the guy pull my bag to look inside. I know it's my Hitachi Magic Wand he's going for so I wave and
make eye contact with him. Than I pantomime humping my vibrator while grinning from ear to ear. The guy can't help but break up laughing and my bag went thru without being searched.

I remember when flying used to be fun but did you know:

Border security can seize your laptop, cell phone or camera with no suspicion or explanation.

Many airports use scanners that conduct a virtual "strip search" of passengers.

There are over one million names on the terrorist watch list.

The TSA recently expressed interest in having every airline passenger wear "electro-muscular disruption" bracelets that could be used to shock passengers into submission.

Tell Congress it's time to rein in travel abuses by the Department of Homeland Security.

Orgasms at the Touch of a button

Betty: "What's wrong with fingering your clit? This is such BS". Carlin: "yeah, but I want to buy one and see if it works. I'll make our experiment a new youtube clip" ;)

The makers of "Slightest Touch" say their device can give women longer, better and more intense orgasms. They claim their device can trigger an orgasm without touching a woman's genital area. According to the manufacturers, Slightest Touch works by stimulating the body's sexual nerve pathway.

Women start by drinking an electrolyte sports drink 20 minutes before using the device. They then apply two white electrode pads inside their ankles. These pads are connected to the Slightest Touch device, which is about the size of a personal stereo.

In swing-state Colorado, the Republican Secretary of State conducted the biggest purge of voters in history, dumping a fifth of all registrations. Guess their color. In swing-state Florida, the state is refusing to accept about 85,000 new registrations from voter drives - overwhelming Black voters.

WOW! What a delight to see Shere Hite in On The Issues Magazine. I whooped and hollored when I
read what she said about the g-spot. I've been calling it the new name for
vaginal orgasms since the concept came out with Whipple et al.

My second
book, "Orgasms for Two" had a chapter I called "G-spot or My Spot." Dear
goddess, the girls who were g-spot squirters were furious with me along with
sex store owners and salespeople who now have a load of G-spot toys, books
and DVD's to sell.

Clara's Story on Her Beloved Barbell

Hi Betty,

What an amazing piece of art I've got in the Betty's Barbell! I am out of breath and so relaxed. I forgot dinner altogether.

I had a big orgasm the traditional way: two fingers in, dolphin vibe on "Clara me"(my clit) The Barbell went in so easily, did the squeezing while I very slowly pulled the Barbell out, almost had to use some force right in the beginning. The great thing is that I know how many mini o's feel like now. Almost every time I pulled it out, there was another one.
