Better Orgasms. Better World.
I mentioned Jill Stein in one of my blogs and few people knew who she was. She's a doctor who is running for president for the Green Party and she has my vote. This is exactly what America needs: a strong woman who is also compassionate.
Truthout has a fabulous interview with Jill. This sentence got my heart racing:
"Enter Stein, whose key platform is the Green New Deal, a jobs program which she says will both build on the success of the New Deal in the 1930s and also help move the United States toward a sustainable, green economy. She also campaigns on drastically reducing military spending, in favor of abortion rights and against corporate personhood."
Jill Stein is my choice for president. Yes, Roosevelt's New Deal pulled the country out of the worst depression of all. And ever since then, the GOP Party has been trying to undo it piece by piece.
Jill Stein
Thanks, Betty. I have a couple of friends who were active in the Green Party but I've lost touch with them, so I'm delighted to find out more about Jill Stein and her connection to the Greens. I've always hated corporate 'personhood', and the Green New Deal sounds terrific.
P.S. The interview is well worth reading. She's a very impressive and thoughtful person.
so despite her great
so despite her great potential, great platform, and great hair, you'd rather throw away your vote to make a point. One vote for her equals one more for Romney who is truly a feminist and an environmentalist. right.
I'm sad that the political system is so damaged and unsatisfying in this way. However, a rose is a rose, etc. It was the same with ralph nader many years ago. It just became too risky to make the statement.
glad you brought her to my attention though.
