Men Outlive Women Sexually?

A new study claims that, as we age, men are more likely to have "sex" and more likely to enjoy it than women.  Here's the math: for 30-year-old men, they can expect 35 years more of sexual activity and 45 years more of life. Thirty-year-old women can expect 31 more years of sexual activity, but 50 more years of life. That means men will spend 78 percent of life after 30 having sex, compared with just 61 percent for women.

The idea that men outlive women sexually is a crock! Obviously, lead researcher Stacy Tessler Lindau, director of the Program in Integrative Sexual Medicine at the University of Chicago, has a limited definition of sexual activity: It's a penis moving inside a vagina which is so male centric. No manual sex, no oral sex just procreative sex. It just so happens that the clitoris which is a woman's sex organ works like dream to the very end, especially now that there is a wide range of sex toys that never get ED.

The penis/vagina model rarely gives women an orgasm anyway, so many of us get a resentment always providing the "old man" with his climax while we only get his load with no end pleasure. After he rolls over, smart women either reach for their vibrators or use one during intercourse. In my timid youth, I'd wait until he went to sleep and then silently masturbate to orgasm while holding my breath and barely moving. When are we going to accept the clitoris as a woman's primary organ of pleasure?

And what about sexual orientation?  Almost all of the survey respondents identified were heterosexuals.  Researchers know almost nothing about the sexual health of older gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals. Those populations are particularly vulnerable, Lindau said, because they may keep problems from their doctors for fear of discrimination or judgment.

"We really need that data," Lindau said.
