Divorce Cakes

Divorce cakes are all the rage.  Nothing like a hit of reality in this romantic love addicted culture of ours. One thing I found interesting: none of the cakes showed the guy kicking the woman out. That's unreal too.

But then most men cheat from time to time while "The little woman" is minding the kids, running the house, shopping and cooking meals. The category "running the house" is huge so I won't go into that. She doesn't even have time for a little afternoon sex play. One of the good things about women working is making connections in the office (thank you Helen Gurly Brown) and at business meetings.

Hehe. I've also seen people in the childfree community celebrate their sterilizations with tubal ligation and vasectomy cakes. Kind of like the opposite of having a baby shower.

One of my friends recently went through a divorce and she requested a penis cake because she's seen them at bachelorette parties. It was a blast to make; especially trying to get the icing as close to flesh-toned as possible. And to top it off - chocolate sprinkles as hair and a squirt of whipped cream from the tip! She loved it!  Now I wonder if anyone got a picture of it.....
