WHERE IS MY CLITORIS?

Hi Betty,
My clitoral shaft is not a normal shaft...at least I don't feel that it is. The problem is that its about the size of a grape? Is that normal? Should I have it removed? Please...I need your advice!!!

Dear Tammy,

One picture is worth a thousand words. Please invest $14 on your sex education and buy my book Sex for One. There are several pages of drawings of women's genitals that show some of our variations. Best of all would be to have my video Viva la Vulva, which clearly describes the whole clitoris. And go to the section on my website called the GENITAL ART GALLERY.

Please look at the drawing of female genitals that my webmaster has posted. The clitoral shaft (similar to the shaft of a penis) is the inch long or so narrow to thick raised form that goes from the top of your genitals (attaching deep inside to the pubic bone) and ends with the clitoral glans that is covered with it's very own little hood (similar to a man's foreskin). The clitoral glans is what I suspect you are talking about. It can range in size from a tiny seed pearl to about the size of a grape. If my clitoris was the size of a grape, I'd celebrate every day.

I suggest you take a digital picture and send it to me so I can answer your question more accurately. Most Americans worry about being "normal" while only a few brave souls have the courage to embrace the possibility of being unique.

Betty
