Let’s hear from the women out there who, like me, find this app fun/funny!

So... let’s say this app really enables some poor schmuck to hook-up where he otherwise would not have succeeded; without all that data at his fingertips. Are we saying the woman on the receiving end is powerless when faced with this evil misogynistic, woman hating, app? The app does not bestow superpowers on the guy using it. The app may open a door (I doubt many doors will open that aren’t permanently propped open), but two people will walk through it.

I don’t think that some new group of women will now be added to the list of existing females readily available for this type of man. After all, many of us have been fooled a time or two by a “user.” We either decide that we enjoy the casual hook-up as much as the guy, or we learn to spot him and go the other way. No victims here. No men who hate women, just ones not wanting more than a hook-up.

Women need to look at themselves and ask what it means if we feel so threatened by this. Are we saying that we can be fooled by the fool? Let's not pretend to be victims of every fool. We are more powerful than that.

I agree with Chris.
For some reason women find this so outrageous, but in reality the only reason this is found to be outrageous is because when it comes to sex women are always thought to be the submissive ones. It falls under the idea that women don't like sex or hooking-up. And that this application will help men make women into sex objects that they can use, because women cant defend themselves.
However this is a ridiculous idea. I mean what does this app. really do? It give a broad stereotypical look at different groups of women. Yes, is this a generalization and no, women are not this 2 dimensional. But its not unrealistic, ask any sociologist, they study the trends of social groups. And this is something that is visible in both genders. Women stereotype men the same way all the time. I mean have you ever seen a cover for Cosmo? Equality has nothing to do with it when women complain about this and then go out and buy a book with titles talking about how to wrap men around your little finger.
And last but not least, the app. would be acceptable if it had a section for women too? Ok so that would be cool but are we going to start obsessing about items that are marketed to one gender or the other? What about the caffeine drink 'Go Girl' or this site for instance. Both are marketed to women is that wrong, no its not.
There are many things in our culture that are misogynistic but unless you call women out for doing the same thing this isn't one of them. There is a point where its fun to laugh at our differences to show there really isn't one. And then there is a point where some people are being looked at as less than, i really don't think this is one of those times.
